Free Yourself of Negativity

Have you ever been in a situation that seem to be overwhelming? Do you tell yourself "I can't get through this and I never will? Do you have negative thoughts each time you go through a tough situation? Well guess what? Most of us have negative thoughts. Negative thinking can damage our self esteem, our thought pattern and our well being.

 For example, Perhaps you are winning the vicious battle of drug abuse.  And, you became stressed out about a very important situation in your life and you fell back on an old habit. Once you were sober, you felt like a failure or looser for depending on an old drug habit. Instead of calling yourself negative names, you can turn your situation around by realizing that stress and pressure is a part of everyone's life to a certain degree. Also, try to look at the positive things you have achieved in your life. Ask a trusted friend or a Counselor to help you to find a way to deal with stressful situations without drugs.

Please remember: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". (Phillippians 4:13kvj)

Another Example:

You have just joined a bible teaching church and you are growing in Christ. Now, your friends from the past are saying negative things to you and about you.  Your friends don't want to be around you any more. A real friend would accept your positive change. Just remember what Jesus said:

"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (St. John 15:19 kjv)

You have to turn negative thoughts and feelings into positive reinforcements. Pray and ask God to surround you with new, positive friends.

When you are feeling lonely, worthless or any of the other negative emotions, first, read your bible and then get positive support through a family member, friends or a bible teaching spiritual leader.
