Spiritual Warfare...

There are so many violent situations going on in the world today. Some situations seem to be out of our control, but as Christians we know it as “Spiritual Warfare”.

Basically, Spiritual Warfare started when God cast Satan and a third of his angels out of heaven because they were disobedient to God. Satan is trying to persuade everybody to be like him. One way of helping and protecting ourselves in this situation is to read our bibles, pray and ask God to put a protective hedge around us so we can live like we are living in Heaven ……on earth…..for instance like in the prayer below.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:9-10 KJV)

Realistically, we know there is a lot of trouble on this earth and some of us may be a little worried about protecting our loved ones. Below is a short list of examples of ways to protect ourselves and our families:

• Seek the Lord
• Pray continuously
• Attend a bible teaching church
• Teach our children right from wrong
• Live by example to our children and to others

Even though we seek the Lord, pray continuously, attend a bible teaching church, teach our children right from wrong and live by example, we still may not feel we are worthy to be blessed because of things (Spiritual Warfare) which has occurred or still occurring in our lives like these examples:

• Abused Women, Men and Their Families
• Alcohol and Drug Addiction
• Life Threatening Illnesses Like “Cancer”
• Other Things That Are a Part of “Spiritual Warfare”

God is here to comfort us and to help us get beyond our present and past situations. God looks beyond our faults, he knows what we need and what is in our hearts. And, in order for us to receive help from God, we must seek him through prayer.
